Last night kicked off the Discovery Foundation Sales Acceleration Program with 21 tech startups ready to focus on sales, marketing, and building scalable revenue models.
The current cohort includes an impressive group of startups. Not only have many of these startups proven their business models in the midst of a global pandemic, they are tackling problems with innovative technologies.

AfterSell | AfterSell is an app that helps eCommerce merchants on Shopify increase their Average Order Value (AOV) by enhancing their post purchase experience. On their app, 2100+ active businesses are generating approximately $1M per month in additional revenue, with a conversion rate of up to 15%.
Agents Republic | Agents Republic provides omnichannel customer support in multiple languages with home-based agents and the latest technology available. They make peoples’ lives better with remarkable customer experiences.
CertiCraft | CertiCraft is on a mission to help craft growers transition into and thrive in the new legal cannabis market. Their seed-to-sale makes operational compliance simple, with guided workflows and one-click reporting.
Do Some Good | Do Some Good is a social enterprise, a certified B Corp, and a Community Contribution Company that cares about maximizing impact. Their mission is to bring individuals, community organizations and businesses together on one platform to build stronger local communities across Canada.
Greenline POS | Greenline POS is a point-of-sale software company focused on the Canadian cannabis retail market. Its unique POS features compliance capabilities and the ability to track and report on a heavily regulated substance. Over 400 companies in Canada are currently using their systems.
icInfrastructure | icInfrastructure provides consulting, contracting, and training to public and private sector infrastructure clients to support them with their infrastructure asset management and business improvement efforts.
LearningBranch | LearningBranch is building a suite of assessment, training, and analytical products that help businesses shift customer service into customer excellence. Their vision is to become the world’s leading provider of AI-Driven communicative competency training and assessments.
Locelle | Locelle is a platform created to advance women in the workplace. Through tailored 1:1 mentor matching, live leadership sessions and networking with peers with similar interests and goals, they deliver personal and professional growth to women working in the tech industry.

ModoHR | ModoHR is a technology driven business services company providing modern solutions for the Human Resources Industry. They automate and continually create scalable, compliant processes to deliver accurate, Canadian background data in real time.
OcuDigital | OcuDigital provides a platform with assignable video-based and interactive exercises for optometrists involved in vision therapy.
Pacific Rim Innovations | Pacific Rim Innovations is a research and development facilitator that provides formulation technologies to consumer brands. They implement a more efficient product development process leveraging their proprietary formulations, expertise in product compliance, and key partnerships.
Plantiga | Plantiga is a clinical-grade wearable sensor insole and analytics platform on a mission to empower both practitioners and individuals with objective health data.
Plugzio | Plugzio is helping accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by providing an alternative, open-minded approach to charging. Their technology is 1/5 of the cost of common solutions on the market and 5x as scalable.
salonMonster | salonMonster is an online booking web application designed by salon industry professionals for salon industry professionals. It provides easy, online booking and business management tools for salons and spas across North America.
SME Strategy Consulting | SME Strategy Consulting helps organisations and their people create and implement their strategic plans. Primarily, they facilitate strategic planning meetings, leading corporate training, and providing executive coaching and expert advice to senior leaders.

Yield Exchange | Yield Exchange is a platform for Canadian organizations to get the best rates for their GICs from Canadian financial institutions.
Zen Maker Labs | Zen Maker Labs provides online and face-to-face STEAM education programs to children/youth through camps, after school programs and an academy. They also produce a DesignMakePlay livestream show, and are working on a game and platform for making post-secondary and STEAM career choices.
zipBoard | zipBoard is a visual review and bug tracking tool that lets your team collect feedback on their digital content and apps during development. It’s designed for teams developing websites, webapps, e-learning courses, videos, and PDF documents at scale.

How does the program work?
The program has two components: education and 1-to-1 mentoring.
Education: New Ventures BC will host a series of online webinars to teach the best sales and marketing practices, led by two Executives in Residence with extensive marketing and sales expertise, Rochelle Grayson and Peter de Verteuil.
1-to-1 Sales and Marketing Advisory: Biweekly, the cohort will meet online individually with Rochelle and Peter. The companies and advisory team will work together to achieve individualized sales and marketing goals.
