FundRazr TeamLast night the BCTIA announced the winners of the 2013 Technology Impact Awards and our 2011 Vancity Social Venture prize winner was recognized as the Most Promising Startup.

Entrepreneur Warren Roy, founder of Global Relay, earned top honour as Person of the Year, while the recently acquired Layer 7 Technologies was recognized as Company of the Year.

“Layer 7 and Global Relay exemplify the world-class companies that we are creating here in BC,” stated BCTIA President and CEO Bill Tam.

Roy’s Global Relay won an award for Community Engagement, while Vancouver-based QuickMobile snagged Emerging Company of the Year.

PMC won Excellence in Product Innovation; OpenRoad Communications and Transportation Investment tied for the Adoption of Technology award; Most Promising Pre-Commercial Technology went to Nanotech Security; FundRazr was recognized as most promising startup; and Land Title and Survey Authority of BC won Team of the Year.
