BCIC-New Ventures’ 25 round-three competitors have been hard at work on their Round 3 business overviews which were submitted on August 8th.
Competition judges will announce the 10 finalists on September 4th but in the meantime let’s have a closer look at the Top 25.
EVT Power, established in 2008, is building a small production line to commercialize its patented, high surface area battery current collector, the “SNAPPER”, to lead acid and lithium ion battery manufacturers.
SNAPPERs significantly improve the performance and safety of lead acid and lithium ion batteries: recent third party tests have shown the SNAPPER can make lead acid batteries deliver 42% more energy density, 70% more power density and 3.2 times faster recharge with much less lead and associated weight.
SNAPPERs in lithium ion batteries improve battery safety by dissipating the internal heat with their superior thermal conductivity.
