Over the past 21 years, we’ve seen New Ventures BC alumni achieve great things: going from innovative ideas all the way to multi-million dollar companies. And this year, for the first time, we’ll have the chance to honour them with the new Alumni Impact Award, presented by Beanworks.
Who is eligible for the award?
Any past NVBC participant who has finished in the Top 25, in any year, going all the way back to 2001!
Nominations will be for both the company and their founders. Companies that have been exited or sold can also be included.

Nominate a company, or nominate yourself
Who can submit a nomination? Anyone! That includes: the general public, NVBC mentors, or even the company founders, themselves.
What do you mean by impact?
When we talk about impact, we mean the impact our alumni companies and/or founders have had on the BC tech industry. It can come in many forms, including:
- Economic: Creating economic opportunities and growth in BC (jobs, revenue, skills)
- Social: Creating a strong social or environmental impact
- Community: Giving back through philanthropy, Angel investment, and/or volunteerism.
What do they win?
The Alumni Impact Award recipient will receive a feature at the Awards Ceremony and NVBC website, a custom award, and some premium swag.
