We’re pleased to announce that Mangrove Water Technologies has been chosen as a winner for Emissions Reduction Alberta’s Grand Challenge, Round 2! The award is granting Mangrove up to $3M in grant funding over the next two years.

The international competition seeks technologies to transform carbon dioxide from a waste material to an asset, while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Mangrove is one of four winning projects to be awarded funding as a Round 2 winner. In 2019, one project will be eligible for up to an additional $10 million in funding to help commercialize their technology in Alberta.

Mangrove Technologies is an on-site solution for reducing environmental impact for the oil and gas sector. Its innovation helps an oil and gas producer to reduce costs, logistical headaches, greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption and wastewater disposal. They are an e@UBC spin-off, and made it our Top 25 in 2016’s BCIC-New Ventures Competition.
