A top challenge for technology companies across the country is access to capital. Accelerate Okanagan has just launched a new access to capital training program called Fast Track to help.

Fast Track is a new investment-training program that will provide due diligence education and pitch training to help tech companies in BC’s interior improve their chance of raising capital. Local investors have already committed to $60,000 seed investment, subject to a successful due diligence review, for a top company in the program.

Fast Track builds on Accelerate Okanagan’s jump:start:challenge which provided pitch training for 28 very early stage tech companies over the last four years. The new Fast Track program adds due diligence training, targets later stage companies, and now includes commitments from investors.

Participant companies will each receive pitch training, due diligence training, a professional review of legal, financial, and valuation for their due diligence. Participant companies will have access to an Executive in Residence (EIR) for the duration of the program; if a company from your region is selected, this could utilize a local EIR or an AO EIR.

There is a $150.00 fee for applicants who are selected into the program. There are a maximum of 10 spots available. Deadline for applications is January 16th, 2015.
