The Ten Finalists in Accelerate Okanagan’s Jump:Start:Challenge have been announced following the first round of the competition which took place in Penticton yesterday.
The Challenge started with 24 entrants being invited to present their pitches at an open forum in the Jim Pattison Centre for Excellence, Okanagan College.
10 companies were then selected by an expert panel of judges to move on to the next round of the Challenge, where they will receive eight weeks of intense training, coaching and mentorship to improve their investor presentations. The Ten Finalists are:

- Trajectory Design Automation Corp.
- MediaCooler Inc.
- GreenStep Sustainability Coaching
- ProgenyBio
- Counterpart Technologies Inc.
- Proactive Automated Backflow Technologies Inc.
- Moteas
- Cream HR
In November, the ten finalists will be narrowed down further to the final five companies. Each of the Top 5 will secure the opportunity to present before members of the investment community in Vancouver and Kelowna.
Prize packages for the top three companies will include free drop in office space at Accelerate Okanagan’s Kelowna or Penticton Innovation Centres. The overall winner will also receive access to Accelerate Okanagan’s Venture Acceleration Program, which helps high potential technology companies accelerate their growth and maximize their opportunity.
