Today, the industry has a limited and outdated toolkit for collecting imaging information as traditional camera technologies, used in almost every industry, cannot “see” in wells due to the opaque fluids present.
DarkVision’s technology has overcome this hurdle by being able to see through all wellbore fluids, including bitumen, drilling mud and frack fluids. The technology will see its initial deployments in Alberta wells in 2015.
