Prestige Gaming for Grown-Ups

Non-Euclidean is building a new category of video game: movie-length, emotionally resonant titles for time-strapped adults.

Their mission is clear—ditch the 100-hour grind in favour of rich, artful experiences you can finish in a single evening. Aimed at Millennials and Gen X players who crave quality and meaning but lack time, their games are tight, impactful, and built to hit harder by saying more with less. While the AAA industry—which produces big-budget, mass-market games that often take years to develop— grapples with ballooning budgets, layoffs, and creative stagnation, Non-Euclidean is betting on a smarter model: high-concept, low-bloat experiences that punch above their weight.

Their debut game, War Fantasy, is a cerebral anti-war FPS designed with the structure and spirit of prestige TV and indie film—think HBO meets Half-Life. It’s a bold reimagining of what short-form games can be: thought-provoking, visually stunning, and made to be finished in a single night—and remembered forever.

Press Start to Scale

What they’ve done: Non-Euclidean’s concept demo hit hard — literally. Early playtesters, especially older gamers, said they were left speechless, staring at their screens long after it ended. That emotional impact caught the attention of top-tier publishers and even HBO actors from The Last of Us. A surprise connection with A16Z reinforced what the team already believed: the industry is ready for a new model of game.

Why NVBC: The real draw wasn’t the prize money — it was the mentorship. With a technical foundation and some business know-how, the team saw the competition as a way to level up fast, guided by leaders who’ve scaled startups before. They also wanted to connect with other founders facing similar challenges. And yes, the competitive fire is real — now that they’re in, they’re all in.

Next Up: The focus is clear: build a knockout vertical-slice prototype of their debut game, War Fantasy. That will pave the way to the right publishing deal — one that backs their bold vision. For the Vancouver startup, success hinges on making unforgettable, impactful games — and that means assembling the right team, locking in smart investment, and delivering something truly memorable.

Power-Ups from the Local Scene

DigiBC has been a game-changer for Non-Euclidean. As a key connector in B.C.’s game development ecosystem, the organization helped open doors to publishers, investors, and strategic opportunities that fueled the studio’s early momentum. The support from DigiBC — and standout champions like Loc Dao and Debi Wong — gave the team not just access, but confidence to push forward with their disruptive vision.
