The Mosaic Accelerator Program, by Discovery Foundation, is an 8-week mentorship program dedicated to help non-technical, marginalized, and BIPOC women learn how to build their tech company. In this program, our participants will receive mentorship from our diverse community of mentors, and gain valuable experience in customer discovery, market validation, and market research.

Program Structure

  • 8 weeks of virtual (online) 50-min with weekly mentor-led sessions.
  • Networking opportunities with other founders from marginalized, racialized, and underrepresented communities.
  • Access to a strong community of alumni and ongoing opportunities for support and mentorship.

There are two streams available:

  1. Entrepreneurial Vision to Venture 
    Ideal for new, aspiring, and pre-revenue entrepreneurs, engage in interactive workshops for ideation, target audience discovery, and customer journey crafting. Participate in brand-building challenges, strategic simulations, and website creation labs.
  2. Women Founders and Senior Leadership Roundtable 
    Ideal for founders of in-market startups with early or ongoing revenue streams, engage in collaborative discussions, expert-led workshops and peer mentoring sessions.

Eligibility

  • Early-stage entrepreneurs that are non-technical or have limited technical expertise, building technical or technology-enabled ventures
  • Have at least one female-identifying or non-binary founding partner and/or C-level individual from a marginalized, racialized, and underrepresented community (Black, Indigenous, Latin American, Asian, Pacific Islands, Middle Eastern, North African, transgender, women with disabilities, and newcomers to Canada)
  • Based in Canada
  • Commitment to attend weekly meetings over the 8-week program
  • Commitment from a minimum of one executive-level staff member to attend sessions

Program fees & dates

  • $200 fee for the entire 8-week program

  • Cohort 1 Application deadline: March 31, 2024

  • Intake Meetings start: April 1, 2024

  • Spring Program starts: Second week of April, exact dates to be determined based on applicants

  • Mentorship: Weekly for 8 weeks
