Standardizing the Future of Discovery
What They’ve Done: Since its first public release, IvoryOS has proven its value in both university and commercial labs. The software is already being used to run automated experiments on more than 20 active research platforms. The team has also secured a design partnership with an industrial research lab to help adapt their software for larger, commercial operations. This rapid early adoption proves that their system is flexible enough to work with all kinds of different laboratory hardware and setups.

Mentor feedback has helped the team refine their messaging, shifting their positioning from a highly technical software tool to an essential, scalable infrastructure play. Additionally, the competition has plugged IvoryOS directly into BC’s life sciences network, opening doors to key regional partners and collaborators.
Up Next: The next 12 months are all about global growth, expanding their user community, and securing new industry partnerships. The team is building a library of pre-made templates and settings, making it easy for any lab to connect and automate its existing equipment right out of the box. Ultimately, they want to make IvoryOS the go-to foundation for self-driving labs, making autonomous research a plug-and-play reality worldwide.
