New Ventures BC (NVBC) is proud to announce our new membership with CENGN, Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks, expanding access for Intellectual Property (IP) services to Canadian startups and scaleups.

Alongside Innovate BC, NVBC will provide IP education and mentorship services to Canadian startups and scaleups conducting a CENGN Living Lab project. These projects provide businesses with opportunities to validate their technologies in real-world and data centre environments as they prepare for market entry, customer adoption, and scaled growth.

Through the CENGN Living Lab Initiative, participating startups and scaleups can access real-world testing environments, technical expertise, project management support, and project funding to help validate their solutions and prepare for commercial deployment. By bringing IP education and mentorship into this process, the partnership helps companies make informed decisions about their IP as they move toward commercialization and growth.

New Ventures BC is pleased to join CENGN in a partnership to deliver IP services to Canada’s most innovative startups and scaleups. The CENGN Living Lab Initiative is actively accelerating Canada’s homegrown leadership in transformative technologies that advance key Canadian and global sectors. Through IP support, we can protect Canadian innovation while it flourishes abroad.”-  Angie Schick, Executive Director, New Ventures BC.

New Ventures BC provides startups and SMEs with IP programming, funding, and mentorship support delivered through the BC IP Strategy and Accelerate IP, an Elevate IP recipient funded by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).

Through these initiatives, we contribute to a stronger innovation ecosystem in BC and The North by building IP capacity and helping businesses strategically manage and leverage their intellectual property.
