This year marked a major milestone for New Ventures BC—25 years of supporting founders and breakthrough ideas across the province.
What started as a grassroots initiative has grown into BC’s largest and longest-running startup competition. This growth has only been possible thanks to our dedicated community, who show up year after year to support innovation and help startups take shape.

This year, we offered four accelerator programs, alongside our flagship competition, to support startups at critical moments in their growth journeys. We’re grateful to our partners at NRC IRAP, ISED, and Innovate BC, for helping us deliver programs that give founders and startups the tools, mentorship, and funding needed to grow.

Lead Generation & Sales Mentorship Program supported 12 growth-stage companies, helping them turn traction into sustainable revenue.

Discovery Foundation BitSavers Program provided personalized capital re-capture plans for 15 companies, seeding new opportunities for founders.
- IP Pathways certified 342 participants this year, equipping professionals with the knowledge to build strategic IP.
- AccelerateIP served 1,044 startups and allocated $1.45M towards IP projects, strengthening our innovations for the global market.
