BCIC New Ventures: Regional – Competition Format
The Regional Competition is now closed. Join us for the Provincial Competition March-Sept 2012.
The BCIC-New Ventures Competition: Regional takes place over three successive rounds. Regional competitors will compete in the city closest to them—either Kelowna or Victoria. Competitors are eliminated after each round until only 20 remain in play to win $60,000 in prize packages.
Each Round also features different educations seminars.
Round 1: The Idea
Participants register in the competition and describe their idea (Round 1 submission requirements).
Round 2: Presenting the Idea
Round 2 participants will attend business-education seminars and prepare for a 10-12 minute oral company presentation before a jury panel in either Kelowna or Victoria.
Round 3: Business Overview
Round 3 participants are each paired with two team mentors who will work with participants to expand their idea into a condensed, eight-page business overview.
Participants must then deliver oral presentations to a final jury in either Kelowna or Victoria.
The Round 3 jury will announce the competition winners at a regional awards ceremony in Kelowna.
