Registration must be submitted online by April 14, 2016, 11:59 pm.
Your competition registration includes full access to our education series. You’ll also have access to online educational opportunities.
Filling in your entry form
Don’t spend too much time crafting the perfect entry form. We’re just looking to understand your business and confirm that you’re eligible to compete.
Meeting eligibility requirements
The BCIC-New Ventures Competition is open to any BC resident, team or business with an innovative technology product or service. You’ll have to meet these requirements to move on to Round 2.
To help you know what to have handy before opening the form, here are the short-answer questions that we’ll ask you.
Describe your product or service offering (maximum 100 words)
Give a brief description of your product or service. Imagine you are explaining your idea to someone who is not familiar with your business.
Describe the innovation behind the idea (maximum 100 words)
What makes your product or service innovative? Ensure that your description does not disclose any proprietary technology.
Describe your business model: how will your company make money? (maximum 100 words)
Will you be collecting fees for a service, selling products to businesses or licensing your idea to others? Be specific on how your company plans on making revenue.
