The competition takes place over four successive rounds. Teams are eliminated after each round, until only ten
remain for the final presentation.
Round 1: The Idea
April
To enter the competition, you must complete the registration form and describe your idea by:
- Showing how eligibility requirements have been met.
- Describing the product or service offered.
- Describing the innovation behind the idea without disclosing proprietary technology.
- Analysing the market and competition.
Your entry submission will be evaluated and you will be advised if you qualified for the next round. Up to 100 participants
will advance to round 2.

Seminars & Networking
Networking and seminars will be held April and May. These seminars are open to the public as well as participants,
but you must register to ensure seating. Priority seating will be given to competition participants. The seminars will also be webcast live and available on this site for your reference.
Organizers strongly recommend that competitors attend all seminar sessions offered by the New Ventures BC competition.
