What is New Ventures BC?
New Ventures BC (NVBC) is a province-wide technology business competition offering participants a unique mix of business education, networking opportunities, and $135,000 total in cash and prizes.

The competition is designed to support BC's emerging technology industry by providing very early stage entrepreneurs with the business basics they need to succeed. It is operated by the non-profit BC Ventures Society and sponsored by and several other businesses and organizations in the public and private sector.

Why should I participate?
Maybe you have a great idea but you don't know how to market it. Or maybe you've got everything in place except financing and you don't know where to look. By participating in the New Ventures BC Competition, you will develop a solid business plan, make the contacts you may need to form a strong management team, and gain access to the expertise needed to launch a successful business. In addition, you will have a chance to win prizes and meet Venture Capitalists, all of which will help you launch your new venture.

Can I attend the seminars if I am not registered in the NVBC competition?
Yes. The NVBC seminars are open to the public as well as participants, but you must register to ensure seating. Priority seating will be given to competition participants.
