The BC Ventures Society administers the New Ventures BC competition. The Society's vision is to stimulate and promote a
strong, healthy economy in British Columbia by supporting and enhancing western Canada's emerging technology businesses by:
- Promoting entrepreneurship through a province wide business competition for technology start-ups;
- Providing education and training to entrepreneurs;
- Offering a forum for entrepreneurs to meet and work with established business executives, business service providers, and educators; and
- Giving financial assistance in the form of cash and in-kind awards to help entrepreneurs develop their business plans.
