Congratulations to Iris Automation, who has raised $1.5M in a Series A round! The funding comes just four months after winning the 2016 BCIC-New Ventures Third Prize Package.

The Series A round was led by Bee Partners, with additional investment from Social Capital, GGV Capital, Liquid 2, Kevin Moore and Paul Bucheit.

The funding will help Iris Automation to move from beta to commercialization. Their collision avoidance system will help drones fly safely in industrial zones. It’s believed by their investors that their technology will be applicable beyond drones in the future.
