Accelerate Okanagan Hosts 2nd Annual Jump:Start:Challenge Pitch Competition
Today Accelerate Okanagan announced the launch of their second annual Jump:Start:Challenge. Designed to help technology companies and entrepreneurs raise investment, increase their revenues and drive market share, the Jump:Start Challenge is an “investor-ready” pitch competition.
Entrants to the Jump:Start:Challenge will be invited to present their pitches at an open forum in the Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence, Penticton, and will then have an opportunity to participate in Pitch Workshop training sessions, at which they will be taught the “rules of pitching”.
The top 10 entrants will receive eight weeks of expert training, coaching and mentorship to improve their “pitches” and increase their chances of raising capital.
Five finalists will then present their business ideas to pre-selected members of the technology investment community in Vancouver and the Okanagan.
Awards packages for the top three companies – to be decided by a select group of judges from the investment community – will include free office space at Accelerate Okanagan’s Kelowna or Penticton Innovation Centres and free enrollment in the Venture Acceleration Program, which helps high potential technology companies accelerate their growth and maximize their opportunity.
